Saturday morning soccer

Two weeks ago was our school soccer teams first knock out cup game 😄

The game was pretty tough, the opposing team was Te Wharau.

They had a pretty good goalie that was almost as good as me...

Almost!!😅😆

At full time both teams had scored 3 goals each, meaning......

we had to do a penalty shoot out 😱😬😶🙀
My dad videoed clips of the shots and I edited it into one movie with some music using a program called "OpenShot Video Editor"

Even more Sustainabilibob

A few weeks ago we had the oppitunity to go to the gisborne enviro centre and learn about sustainability. we went there to learn about gissy kai rescue, worm farm, compost and a shop with reuseable items. gissy kai rescue is for Charities who need money and food for donations and give outs. in the shop they reuseable items that include metal straws with cleaners so that you can clean them also they have wooden toothbrushes that are also compostable but they have plastic bristles that you can rip off and then you can say the rest of the toothbrush in the compost. Mrs Mcvey took some photots and I have them here ⇩

Last week i did some inquiry on Sustainability. Sustainability means:By google dictonary

We had to draw and label some pictures. Here is a close up of them. 

I really enjoyed labelling (mainly because it was easy). I found the drawing harder (because im bad at drawing. Right now im going home after school and finding what else can go into the different compost layers.

This is an animation that i did during manaiakalani/tuhi mai tuhi atu. My username in games and stuff is normally Jagwanoob so thats why it has a jaguar and why its a family of cats, also cats are my favourite animal (jaguar being my favuorite cat).I made it in google slides and used the FPTTWE (file publish to the web embed) to get on to my blog.

Today I Had a breakout and i had to get on to google and search Where on google earth is carmen sandiego and click the first result and it will take you to google earth and you will have to find carmen. there are 2 parts to this

When you find carmen in part one you become her helper and find tigress in part 2 your still her helper and you find paperstar

Today we did a semi-test of which included magic squares (also called multiplication squares)  and double and single digit multiplication algorithim. the algorithim was easy i'll run you through it say for example the question was 48x9 in algorithim format

WALT use magic squares and become more famililar with them. we did a few magic square problems and as always i got a right. We had to solve 3 of them so far, little magic squares big magic squares and decimal magic squares. But hold there, there is one BIG rule the numbers on the outside MUST be three times as big as the number in the middle here is one of many examples of how to solve it on magic squares sheets. OBSERVE 😀😀😀

Today we learnt about seeking help while we work on our computers. We now know that we can take a screenshot (ctrl shift f6) if we come across something that isn't good online.
